(THEORYLAMP) — USA —Stephane Dujarric, the spokesperson of the United Nation’s Secretary General Ban Ki Moon has brought to rest the long standing debate on whether the Indian military has really conducted a ‘surgical’ strike across the LoC. In the daily press briefing which happens at the UN headquarters the spokesperson stated that the UN Military Observer Group that is stationed at the location did not directly observe any firing at the border related to this incident.
The Indian military’s claim of sending close to 50 men on a couple of Mi17 choppers across the LoC border area which is among the most highly guarded and secured locations all over the world with a 24/7 patrol on both sides raised many serious questions on two fronts – the first being the obvious as to how this operation was even possible without causing a ruckus at the locations that were pointed out by the Indian DGMO and the second question being on the Indian military’s ability to confidently create a false narrative based on a poorly planned Psy-Ops targeting India’s own population.
Unfortunately for the Indian military news nowadays moves around very quickly due to the advent of technology. Only a few days later this press briefing cleared the air on the incident. The Indian representative at the United Nations in honest submission to the hive minded thinking the Indian Foreign Office adheres to immediately lashed out at the UN spokesperson with a half baked comment attacking the integrity of Dujarric’s statement.
“I have nothing to say because what (Dujarric) said was ‘directly observed’. It’s a call that they have to take. I cannot place myself in their boots and directly observe something.” said Syed Akbarrudin, the representative stated. Instead of responding to the assertion with facts and evidence of the strike the representative chose to display a fit of anger and throw rhetorical questions towards the journalists.
Pakistan has dismissed Indian claims of the strike calling it false propaganda. Two Pakistani soldiers lost their lives in the LoC aggression which according to Pakistan was undertaken to quiet down the Kashmir issue and empower the vote bank of the current government. The Pakistani military today also gave a tour to western journalists along the LoC and answered their queries on how the LoC security works – this event cleared the air on the issue – the UN counter statement to the Indian narrative further augmented the Pakistani claim that there was no cross border raid anywhere along the LoC.
